Approach to Instruction
I often replace the word “teaching” with “coaching” because it is an approach that more accurately represents my approach to guitar instruction. The guitar is has a history of being a casual musical discipline that works best within a casual/conversational approach, in a comfortable environment when helping individuals to reach their musical goals.
The main goal of learning any instrument should be to have fun and achieve results desired whether you are a complete beginner or experienced professional looking to continue your skills. Our mindful approach to fretted instrument playing is simple...offer friendly, relaxed, professional coaching and solid advice for young people and adults – whether they are brand new to their instrument or seasoned pro's – wishing to embrace the spirit of their instrument, playing skill and musicianship, without the pressures of a formal music program.
Acoustic or electric guitar, Blues, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Ska, Punk, Metal, Bluegrass, Country, Folk, Hawaiian; Guitar, Ukulele, Electric Bass, Mandolin, Banjo and beginning Piano are all offered as styles of musical development, as well as Songwriting technique and functional Music Theory.
